These terms and conditions apply to any participation of a natural person (hereinafter “the participant” or “you” or “your”) as a participant in this event. The agreement is between the Organizer (hereinafter “the Organizer” or “we”) and the person who completes the online registration form for the relevant event (“you” or “your” or “the participant” or “the participants”).
These terms and conditions govern your online registration, attendance and/or participation in the event. By registering for the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, accepted and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms, please do not register, attend or participate in the Event.
If you are registering on behalf of another person, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person attending the event is aware of and agrees to these terms. These Terms include and incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, which explains the types of information collected, stored, shared and processed in connection with the relevant event, how and why we use that information, with whom we share it and your legal rights.
The T&Cs are available at any time on our event website (https://old.surfinbitcoin.com ) and upon request to the Organizer.

– For any questions regarding the Event, your tickets or registration, please write an email to contact@surfinbitcoin.com
3. Purchase of tickets on the Event Site
To participate in Surfin’ Bitcoin 2023, the Participant must purchase his or her ticket directly on the Event Site in the “Ticketing” section. The Participant may order as many tickets as the platform allows, depending on the quotas available and the type of ticket requested. The Participant undertakes to pay the Organizer the amount corresponding to the price of the ticket chosen when confirming his/her order via the website.
Once the transaction has been successfully completed, the tickets will be delivered in the form of an electronic copy by e-mail to the e-mail address designated by the Participant. In all cases, tickets remain our property and constitute a revocable personal license, which may be withdrawn, and admission to an event may be denied at any time upon refund of the amount paid by the Participant for registration.
4. Types of Notes and Rights Attached to Notes
a. Types of tickets
Several types of tickets can be offered at the same time on the website. For example, we offer “Full Pass V.I.B”, “Networking Night”, “Conference Day 1”, “Conference Day 2 + Closing Party” etc. tickets with strict day access to the Event. All details will always be clearly indicated on the event website. It is the responsibility of the participant to choose the right ticket for his/her situation.
In case of fraudulent use of promotional codes, the Organizer may automatically cancel the registration. In this case, the Participant agrees that the Organizer will retain a financial compensation of 15% of the order as management fees on the reimbursement of the ticket price. The Participant will be informed by e-mail at the address provided at the time of registration. This procedure can be carried out up to 2 days before the date of the Event.
b. Name Transfers, Refunds
As a general rule, tickets are nominative and cannot be transferred to a third party, unless exception is granted by the Organizer to a specific person. For the avoidance of doubt, this means that we do not accept ticket name changes, even if, for whatever reason, the ticket owner is unable to access the conference. This is the case for all tickets including complimentary individual tickets for media and speakers, as well as tickets provided to partners as part of their sponsorship offerings.
c. Access to conference rooms
As part of the Event, speeches will take place in several rooms on the site, and the locations of these conferences will be determined by the Organizer. It is specified that the Organizer does not guarantee access to the conference rooms, which have maximum capacities. Only access to the Event is guaranteed; depending on the number of visitors, some spaces may be full at any given time.
5. Ticket prices and payment of the order
Ticket prices are posted on the Event website. Ticket prices for an Event are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to change ticket prices at any time, but such changes will not affect tickets already purchased. A valid ticket entitles you to entry to the relevant event as a participant, but does not include any requirements associated with travel to or from the event or any accommodation costs incurred, and we will not be responsible for any such costs or expenses. Please note that the VAT rate applied is the French VAT rate of 10%. In order to comply with European and French regulations on VAT applicable to events, this VAT will always be charged when purchasing a ticket on our platform, wherever you are located in the world and whatever your status.
The price may vary according to the following criteria
– The type of ticket: “Full Pass V.I.B”, “Networking Night”, “Conference Day 1” etc… ;
– The date of the order, in particular according to the Early Bird discount limited in time and quantity,
– The days that the participant chooses to participate, (all the days of the event or a part of them), if the Organizer decides to sell tickets that are valid only for a part of the event;
– Promotions and possible partnerships with media and/or associations and/or companies allowing to benefit from specific discounts.
We are not obliged to offer discounts for a particular event and we reserve the right to modify or withdraw a discount offer at any time, at our sole discretion.
Upon checkout, the participant will then have access to a summary of their order, including the category selected and the corresponding price, including any discounts associated with the use of a coupon. In the event of an error in the choice of ticket type, the Participant may correct this error by returning to the order page. Once the Participant has validated his/her registration after receiving the order summary, the sales contract will be definitively concluded and the order will be firm and final.
Consequently, upon confirmation of the order, the Participant undertakes to pay the price corresponding to the ticket according to the chosen means of payment.
Payment for tickets shall be made exclusively by :
– in euros via Billetweb or the Surfin’Bitcoin Shop
– bitcoin via the Surfin’Bitcoin Shop
Invoices are denominated in euros, but can also be paid in bitcoins. Occasionally, after a rise in the price of bitcoin, some Participants still ask for their bitcoin back (which is now more valuable). Please note that if you pay us in bitcoin, you accept the risk of loss due to price fluctuations. Any refund, whether in euros or bitcoins, may be less than the full amount of the payment. It will be equal to the lesser of: the euro value of the bitcoins paid at the time the payment was made, or the actual number of bitcoins paid, at SBTC’s sole discretion.
6 . Obligations of the organizer
a. Tickets
The Organizer issues the ticket after validation of the order and payment. Once the order has been validated and the payment has been registered, an order confirmation will be sent by email including the entry ticket in the body of the message or as an attachment. Each ticket is nominative and therefore unique and allows the Participant to access the site of the Event upon presentation of an official identification document (ID card, passport) containing the same information as on his/her ticket. The Participant may thus access, within the limits of available seats in the spaces concerned, all the public sessions offered by the Organizer (apart from any private sessions organized by the partners), visit the exhibition during opening hours, and benefit from the catering services and entertainment offered. For practical reasons, from the day of subscription until the Event itself, the Participant may receive by email various information about the Event and, possibly, a re-issue of his/her ticket.
In accordance with Article L 121-21-18 of the French Consumer Code, the sale of tickets is not subject to the right of withdrawal. Consequently, tickets cannot be returned or exchanged.
b. Content of the event
We strive to ensure that event programs, speakers, topics and locations are correct at the time of publication, but circumstances beyond our control may necessitate substitutions, changes, postponements or cancellations of an event’s content, format, topics, name, performers, hosts, moderators, location or schedule.
7. Admission to Events
a. Identity Control
The Organizer grants admission to ticketed participants. An ID card will also be requested at each entrance, and a name card may also be requested. If the information does not match the information on the registration form, the Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to the Participant, without any right to a refund.
b. Wristbands
For security and identification purposes, we ask all delegates to: – wear the official event wristband on their wrist; and- carry photo identification and present it at any time upon request. If you lose any of these pieces of identification during the event, you will need to go to the customer service help desk at the event venue and request a new one.
c. Attendance and Behavior of Participants
It is your responsibility to inform us, at the time of your reservation, of any special access needs you may have at the Event. During the Event, you must behave in an orderly manner and not act in a way that offends, annoys or disturbs other Participants. Participants, unless they are part of a partner team and acting in the partner space (booth), must not promote, advertise or solicit business in a manner that, in our sole discretion, is deemed unacceptable. We reserve the right to expel from the Site any participant who, in our reasonable opinion, violates applicable laws or regulations, our policies and procedures or those of the Site, is likely to cause offense or annoyance, or is otherwise inappropriate or fails to comply with these Terms.
We, in our sole discretion, and without any liability or obligation to refund, reserve the right to refuse admission to or eject from the Event any person who we determine is
– behaves in a manner that may disrupt, interfere with or cause a nuisance to the Event or the enjoyment of any other person or partner in the Event;
– represents a risk to the safety or health and security of the Event or any person or partner; and/or does not, or is likely to, comply with these Terms.
You agree to comply with all applicable laws in connection with your attendance or participation at any of our events and to follow the rules and safety instructions given on site during the event.
8. Cancellation
The Participant is informed that he/she will not be able to request a refund of his/her ticket in case of cancellation of the Event due to circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control, such as force majeure or a cancellation request issued by the Prefecture or any other public authority, or due to the cancellation of the provision of the premises. In the unlikely event of a postponement or cancellation of an Event for any other reason, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the refund of fees paid that remain after credit card and payment processing fees have been incurred and deducted, and we shall not be liable to you for any expenses, damages or losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation or postponement.
9. Personal Data of Participants
The Organizer collects a number of personal data from participants at the time of ordering in order to process their order and issue the Ticket. We take your privacy very seriously and will never transfer or sell your data to a third party without your explicit permission at the time of doing so. For example, we never give our detailed participant list to our partners, we never sell our participant list to anyone, and we never publish the detailed participant list in any medium.
However, we do publish semi-anonymous information (company/title) and in some specific cases we transfer your data to a partner if you request it, such as in the following cases (not exhaustive):
– If you agree to share your contact information in the event application,
– If you fill out a form to participate in a partner’s side event and check the permission question to transfer your data to the partner.
Participants whose personal data was provided to the Organizer at the time of the order are informed of their rights at the time of the order. They have a right of access to their personal data which they can exercise by writing to the Organizer
10. Photography, audio and video recording, image rights
Any use of photographic, audio, video, or other recording materials at the conference is strictly prohibited unless approved by us in writing in advance. If you take photos or videos during the event without our permission, we may ask you at any time to destroy them and not to use them. By participating in the event, you acknowledge and agree that the event (or any portion thereof) may be photographed or recorded by us or our partners. You agree to allow us, or any third party authorized by us, to use, distribute, broadcast or globally disseminate your image, name, voice and words for a period of thirty-six (36) months after the closing date of the event on television, radio, film, newspapers, magazines and other media now available and hereafter developed, prior to, during and after the event, and in any form whatsoever, without further authorization from or payment to you. This grant includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit the media, the right to use the media (alone or with other information) and the right to allow others to use or distribute the media.
11. Intellectual Property
The event brings together sponsoring companies and speakers to present their innovations. In this context, the brands and logos will be displayed and the presentations and speeches disclosed on stage. Participants are prohibited from reproducing, imitating or publishing by any means the brands, logos of the sponsors and speakers as well as the speeches and presentations made on stage, without the specific written authorization of the Organizer or the owner of the brand and/or logo and/or presentation.
12. Insurance
You are responsible for arranging your own appropriate insurance coverage in connection with your participation or exhibition at an event. The Organizer and its affiliates shall not be liable for any injury or damage to any person or real or personal property, however caused (except for death or injury resulting from our negligence or any other type of liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law).
The Participant nevertheless agrees to comply with the health and safety requirements that will be posted at the Event site.
13. Limitation of Liability
You acknowledge and agree that the opinions expressed by speakers at or in connection with an event hosted by us are their own and that we do not accept any liability for advice given or opinions expressed at or in connection with an event.

– subject to the above paragraph, our total aggregate liability in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise arising out of the performance or intended performance of the Terms is limited to the total amount paid by you to us for your ticket to the Event.
– Nothing in these Terms purports to exclude or limit liability for any fraudulent misrepresentation or act or for any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Applicable Law
The T&Cs are governed by French law.
